President Joe Biden boasted Thursday about his administration’s historic investments to boost clean energy deployment and slow down climate change — and promised to do even more.

Biden’s State of the Union address, while relatively sparse on energy and environment talking points, was unambiguous about his administration’s ambitions to continue prioritizing renewables in an effort to protect Americans and the environment from the threat of a warming climate.

The president rattled off key climate goals such as slashing greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2030, and he touted major climate policies like his Civilian Climate Corps, a federal program that aims to place 20,000 Americans in green jobs.
