Sen. Ted Cruz is going after the federal government for touting educational materials that he says are “designed to manufacture support” for the Biden administration’s “climate alarmism.”

The Texas Republican, up for reelection this November, sent letters last week to the administrators of NOAA and NASA — two agencies under the purview of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee, of which Cruz serves as ranking member.

Cruz derided the Biden-Harris administration for “mark[ing] Earth day this year by touting its efforts to combat ‘the climate crisis,’ including its quixotic quest for net-zero emissions, the formation of a multi-billion-dollar American Climate Corps, and the restriction of federal oil and gas leases.”
